Glenn John Arnowitz has been writing and playing music ever since seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. He spent most of the 1970s, 80s and 90s performing and recording with various bands throughout the metropolitan area. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Pulitzer Prize and Oscar-winning composer John Corigliano. 1982, Glenn was the recipient of the Jon Wolley Composition Award for his orchestral work, Urban Landscapes, which was performed by the Manhattan Symphony Orchestra. In 1986 he received a fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts to compose, Interiors, a work for chamber orchestra. He has written and produced music for Showtime, The Movie Channel, PBS, MTV, A&E and has worked as a jingle writer for Kevin Gavin Productions, Suzanne Ciani and Richard Lavsky Music.

In 1995 the Hudson Valley Philharmonic premiered his orchestral work, Falling From Grace and in 1998 commissioned him to write a piece for Dobro and orchestra. That piece, Revolution No.1, was premiered on July 4th and featured Gerard Mancini on the Dobro. In June 2002, the Loma Mar String Quartet (who have worked with Paul McCartney) premiered a piece from Short Stories, a collection ten pieces for string quartet, at Pacem in Terris in Warwick, NY.

Glenn's last band, BiG COW, appeared on Good Morning America, NPR, at Bodles Opera House, the NeMO Music Conference in Boston and at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. In 2002, together with book publisher Penguin Putnam, they released a CD of original children's music based on popular holiday books for kids which was available at Barnes and Noble bookstores.

In 2004, Glenn produced Oxford Depot's CD, Junk Salvation and also performed with mandolin player Wayne Fugate with the Manhattan Mandolin Orchestra concert in New York City. In December 2005, Glenn and Gerard Mancini performed the songs of John Lennon at a New York City presentation/book signing for the new Elizabeth Partridge book, All I Want Is The Truth.

In 2007 Glenn produced singer/songwriter, Marty Koppel's CD, VernonTown, Ed Ackerly's CD, Iron Mountain Banjo and in 2008 worked with singer/songwriter Tony Penn's on his debut CD, The Quicken.

In 2009, Glenn completed a composition for jazz orchestra, Possible Side Effects, and produced singer/songwriter, Marty Koppel's "Christmas Carol 2009" which is now available on CD Baby.

In August 2010 Glenn finished up production on Tony Penn's new CD, Hell Train and enlisted director Isaac Greenbaum to produce a video for the song "World Rolls On" which is now available on youtube. Glenn also worked with Oxford Depot on their upcoming release, Another 200 Years .
